Skype Encryption Causing Trouble

According to this news, German police are not able to decipher Skype conversations. They claim it is causing problems in monitoring Skype calls by suspected criminals and terrorists. This is not first time law enforcement has complained about encryption issues. US government did not allow export of cryptographic software for a long time due to the same fear. World has changed a lot since then, even US government now allows export of cryptographic software (with some restrictions). Cat is out of the bag.
